30 Paintings in 30 Days - Day 14

I'm still playing around with pen and ink and watercolor washes... just simple subjects... trying different papers. I don't like this paper as much as I like the Strathmore brand. I'll be glad to make the switch back in a couple of days. The water colors I have been using are by Sakura. It's a compact Koi® Water Color Field Sketch Travel Kit and is perfect for small spaces and on the go projects!

As I mentioned yesterday, I joined Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge a little late... 12 days late. However, I had been painting this month already and will share one of those with you today.

Very Last Minute Gift Ideas

If you're like me, you find yourself just a few days before Christmas or a birthday and you realize you forgot someone... then you run to the nearest big box store and grab something off the shelf... not very imaginative or thoughtful, is it?

So... why not buy something from an artist? Even if it's a more affordable print, it's still something you are not going to find on every shelf in every town, unless the artist has gone "big time" and has licensed their art... which would be a dream come true for many of us! ;)

 For quite a while I've wanted to start offering matted art prints... something that is ready to pop into a frame. In order to do that, I'd like to clear out all of my un-matted prints that I have in stock now.

About the prints:

Artwork is centered on 8 1/2" x 11" 68lb. UltraPro Satin luster paper, making it easy for it to be matted and framed. Mats and frames can be purchased economically at Hobby Lobby and other art / home decor stores.

I use an Epson Artisan 1430 wide-format printer and Claria® Hi-Definition Inks to create smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant, durable prints. These inks "deliver unsurpassed image quality and superior prints that last for generations."

Each print is shipped in a protective clear sleeve with a stiff mat so it won't bend in transit.

Moving.... Back Home

As I have so adeptly proven, I can not run more than one blog at a time. So until further notice, I will be posting exclusively at Honeysuckle Lane's Simple Joys, the first blog I ever had.
