Getting Ready for the Lavender Festival

I've been dyeing silk ribbons for my silk ribbon embroidered pillows that I will have at the Lavender Festival Saturday!

This year all pillows will be the same size. I ordered pillow forms so I wouldn't have to stuff each and every one. That's very time consuming, and I've been having trouble with my hands, so just popping in a pillow form should help a lot!

 

I'll share some photos of the actual embroidery in a day or so.

While the base-coated hard boards for my acrylic paintings are drying, I thought I'd get started on some simple lavender watercolors.

I'm doing better at daily painting... or "every other day or so" daily painting. :)
These are slightly out of order, as I don't have photos of #20 yet. I am working on more lavender fields and really like how this one turned out.
